Automatic update to 2.0b8 fails RSS feed

Subject: Automatic update to 2.0b8 fails

After getting the Sparkle update notification, I tried twice to perform the update, but each time, the result was as logged here:

The end result is that the update appears to hang and upon launching QRecall, I'm still at 2.0b7.

Yes, this is a known issue (as was noted in the release notes ).

If QRecall encounters an error while trying to update itself:

  • Download the latest beta from http://www.qrecall.com/download/

  • Open the disk image

  • Run the Install QRecall application

    • But thanks for the console log anyway. We're still trying to figure out why Sparkle—which has always been a remarkably reliable piece of software—is failing.

    Ahh.. thanks. I misread the notes. I thought that you said if you couldn't get Sparkle working, you would post a manual link. When I saw the Sparkle dialog, my assumption was that you got it working.

    Sorry about that.
