Problems and Bugs » Cancel Exceptions

Hey, James!

I had to stop a background compacting that was intruding into my work day. I clicked the little cancel button and it went into its cancel routines. After a while it threw up a little alert button and quit. When I checked the log there were 4 cancel exceptions:

Compact QRec-G5: Interrupted: Compact stopped by user

Compact QRec-G5: Compact stopped by user

Compact stopped by user

Compact stopped by user

(the colons indicate sub-disclosure-triangles)

I don't know if this is normal, so I'm mentioning it.

Best,

Steve Alper

This is (mostly) normal.

There's a bug in the current version of the log viewer that displays some internal/low-level log messages. The extraneous log messages you are seeing are about low-level communications passed between processes.

The next version of QRecall will correct this display problem. You should only see the high-level "Compact Stopped by user" message(s).
