UPDATE: Problem Solved. I didn't have 1.13a6 installed on the Mac Pro. What it wasn't telling me was the FSR path error so I didn't realize it. Once I updated it began to work fine. Thanks again! Chris

Sent. It did work when attached directly but still gets stuck on the airport. Thanks, Chris

Hi James, Activity monitor was at 0 and I left it overnight. It definitely stops at iPhoto and 1.59GB. I checked the drive for errors this morning and it was fine, plugged back into network and retried with the same result. Tonight I'll boot from a CD and check the drive I'm trying to back up in case it is what's causing the hangup. Chris

I hate to sound like the guy with all the issues, but have you seen Qrecall just stall at the same point each time? I was doing TM and full duplicates on my Mac Pro in the studio but switched that over to Qrecall (so all three machines use it). This one is also connected to the same HD on an Airport Extreme. Every time the file gets to iPhoto at 1.59GB it stops. Nothing crashes, the timer keeps going, and there is nothing in the log. The only way out is to restart the machine. This definitely is a network issue as doing the backing to a second internal drive worked fine. I did use the Terminal code to skip pre-allocation. Thanks Chris

I do hourly backups and want to keep the last 24 hours, then those would get merged to a single layer for the day and kept for 14 days. Thanks Chris PS: I did a test full recovery to a temporary partition and it booted flawlessly!

Thanks James. I have a USB flash drive that I use for that purpose, but I'll need to get it to Snow Leopard. I was just making sure that all the invisible files that make the drive bootable are stored in the Qrecall archive. Thanks Chris

I haven't tried this yet, but if I have a HD failure, can I restore the Qrecall archive to a new blank drive a be able to boot from it or do I need to install the basic OS first? Thanks Chris

I don't know why I was getting the network error last night but it is fine gain. I'm going to run more tests tonight. Strangly only the iMac was reporting the out of space issue. I'll see how the mac pro does. Chris

Thanks, but now every action reports insufficient disk space (48GB avail), including merge. Chris

Sent! I should also point out that this is on a drive attached to my airport extreme. Testing a small archive to a locally attached drive worked fine. Chris

I have snow leopard and 1.1.3 but suddenly I can no longer get Qrecall to run its automated back and I receive the error in the Subject. I can open and even restore from the backup but that's about it. I repointed to the archive...no good. Creating a new automated strategy didn't work either. Thanks Chris

Excellent thank you very much. It is nice to see such rapid response from a developer. Maybe having a skip free space search can become preference in a future update? Thanks, Chris

Why is my scheduled backup spending about 20 minutes searching for unused space? Should I reindex? Thanks Chris

Excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have done and I'm glad Qrecall is still going strong. Chris

I looked at this thinking it was a long time ago and it really wasn't, but any eta for an update? Thanks, Chris
