James, I tried removing all the .index files in the archive package and then re-indexing...but the re-index action fails also. I guess I will just have to stick to storing archives on local drives until the API changes that you detailed are in place. Thanks, GKG

James, This issue has started-up once again. I copied an existing QRecall archive to an SMB share. I can Verify it just fine...but all Capture actions fail....and the Archive must be repaired. In this case...VMWare Fusion was not running and had not been run since the system was restarted. My belief, when we discussed this issue last December, was that it was being cause by Fusion...but I don't see how that could be the issue now. A report was sent. Thanks, GKG

Ok..it happened again. Report sent. Thanks, GKG

Ok...thanks for the update. I am just surprised that some of my other apps have not "bumped their head" on this issue... I can assume then that only the Capture action attempts to read this Preference value? Thanks for the update...I will keep trying as 10.8 updates are released... GKG

James, Just an update here. I have installed the latest 10.8 update (12A206j). The capture issue remains...very odd... All other QRecall Actions, e.g., Verify, Recall, Restore, Merge, etc., also seem to work fine. Capture is the only Action that I see with issues... All of my other applications seem to be working fine on this latest build. I just can't believe that Apple changed that much "under the hood" in 10.8...since 10.7 was released less than a year ago. James, Just an update...since loading the last special version that you offered...the "Lost Connection" issue has not occurred. I will keep watching it... Thanks, GKG

James, I sent a report with the new version. The error did occur again, however, this time, the verify task did not remain in "running" status.

James, Ok...removing the extended attributes worked. No more issues during recapture. Thanks, GKG

James, Thanks for the detailed response. I will load the special version that you posted...and wait for the issue to occur again. GKG

James, I copied the folder from the share to my desktop....deleted the folder from the share...then copied it back to the share... I then ran a Capture...It is still giving me the error...but this time for a specific DMG file within that same folder... Very odd...

James... The error occurred again last night. I ran the Sample.sh and sent the report. I also have included a screen shot from the mac mini. Notice how the Verify action still shows "Running"...even though it has actually completed. Also notice the 2 tasks in "Waiting" status due to the Verify still "Running"....as they are waiting for the same archive. Thanks, GKG
