I am new to QRecall and am trying it out. It seems incredibly fast. Does anyone know if there are any independent reviews of this product? I am especially interested in other people's comments on the (apparently) unique (or uncommon, at least) methodology. It is fast, but do third parties also think it is safe? Thanks.

Joe Kissell, Mac guru and author of the recent downloadable book, Backing Up Your Mac (https://www.takecontrolbooks.com/jot-backing-up), has mentioned QRecall in his backup books and articles since 2007:

QRecall is also listed on his website list of backup software:

Thanks for those links, but they are not reviews of the product. One is only a tabular listing of many backup products for comparison purposes and the other is merely a mention of QRecall as being similar to CrashPlan in one aspect. Has anyone seen any independent reviews of QRecall. I love how it works, but since it seems to function differently than most, it seems prudent to see if anyone other than the developer believes that it does the job as well as it claims. If no independent reviews are available, are there at least users that have used this product for many years, have had chances to check the integrity of their data, have needed to restore data multiple times, and have found all to be in order? Thanks!!!

I've been using QRecall for years, as well as being a beta tester. I've used it on various Macs, including an Xserve running Snow Leopard (still in operation), all the way up to a late-2015 iMac running El Capitan. I've done entire drive restores several times, including at least twice on the Xserve. I continue to restore individual files on the server on a regular basis (several times a month), as users accidentally delete them. I use the latest version of QRecall to back up all my own Macs, at home and at work. In all that time, I've never lost a single file due to any problem with QRecall.

(Note that the XServe is still running QRecall 1.2.3.8. I expect to replace it with a Mac Mini Server and the latest version of QRecall sometime later this year.)
