Thanks for the info James. I repaired the partition with Disk Utility but found no problems. I then tried to repair the entire disk and Disk Utility was unable to repair one of the other partitions. For now, I'm going to try a different external disk and see how that fares. Thanks for the time. Steve

Hi, I've got an archive whose first layer shows up as "Unknown, Unknown, - Damaged-". I've tried repairing the archive, but this layer stays there and I'm not able to delete it or merge it. It is causing my rolling merge to fail (I believe) with an unknown envelope error. Is there a way to remove this layer? Secondly, attempting to use the "Copy recovered content to a new archive" option in the Repair menu creates a new empty archive but then proceeds to do nothing that I can tell. Is my best option just to delete the damaged archive and start over? Using 1.2.0(39). Thanks, Steve

Gary, When I got the dialog that the beta had expired, I clicked on the 'Update' button and it shows a new version available to download. Steve

Using latest 1.2.0(35), my browser window initially shows two of the "Browser Style" widgets. I am able to successfully remove one of them through the 'customize' option. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

I'd love to see the Applescript support. I have a folder that I'd like to have captured whenever an item is added to it. Being able to script a folder action for this would be ideal! Thanks, Steve

I'll keep an eye on things and send reports each time there's a failure. Steve

James, Where/how would I get a diagnostic report? Thanks, Steve

James, I seem to be getting sporadic failures in the QRecallHelper/QRecallScheduler area where I'll get the "lost connection to helper" error in my log. I've attached a crash report that might help. Using version 1.1.3a6 Thanks, Steve

Ahh! Missed that folder. Copied it into place and all the actions are back! Thanks James! Steve

I'm trying to restore my user directory (due to some weirdness going on not related to QRecall) and even though I've restored the ~/Application Support/QRecall directory and the 3 .plist files, I don't see my configured actions any longer. Where are these stored so that I don't have to set these up again? Thanks, Steve

Yep. Disregard this. The rsync was still going on at the time I was looking at these. Just verified that the rsync job is complete and I was able to open up all the .quanta on this backup NAS just fine. Sorry for the false alarm. Steve

James, I may have been too quick on the trigger. appearantly the backup job was still going on when this was attempted and it's possible that as the rsync process wasn't complete, the .quanta might have been in a strange state. I'll post my complete findings after I've verified that the backup jobs are in fact not running at the time...

Hello, I've been implementing a backup of 1 NAS to another using rsync and I notice that if I attempt to open a .quanta file backup that has been backed up using rsync, it appears as damaged and is unusable within QRecall. What would be the preferred method of backing up a .quanta file? Just to recopy the entire file each time? Thanks, Steve
