You are right. CPU drops back to nothing when the log window closes. I usually keep the log window open to check on the results of the scheduled backups.

I just installed the new beta. After re-authorizing, it's using about 75% of my CPU while idling. (MBP 15", Core2 Duo). A sample is attached.
The application seems responsive and will quit.

I have verified the drive and it is fine, but it filled up on the last backup.
I am trying to recover the archive now.

The backup target (/Volumes/MBP/) is a drive mounted on an Airport Express. I've tried accessing it by both wired and wireless connections with the same result.
I'll try attaching it directly when I get the chance.

I recently upgraded the hard drive in my laptop. The backups are now failing with an odd error. The Mac is up to date (10.6.4) using QRecall Version 1.2.0(  beta (1.2.0. . The upgraded HD was cloned from the old one. I opened the archive manually and tried to re-index it and the following logs were the result. Thoughts?

Curiously enough I rebooted and a manual backup worked. I ran the command you suggested, and I will wait to see if the overnight backup works.

I recently updated to the 1.2.0(5) beta and OSX 10.6.4. The subject message pops up after the backup is run. The backup isn't complete either, although it looks like, from the elapsed time, it should have run.
From the logs, it looks like the QRecallHelper is crashing.

I run a weekly verify to ensure that the archive is stable. (I also flatten the archive weekly).
This operation is now taking 9 hours for an archive that is about 126G (on a 150G disk partition mounted on an Airport Extreme). How long should this operation take?

Yes. It's an AirPort Extreme (802.11n w/ GE, firmware v7.4.2). The drive partition for backup is about 150G. The "not enough space" message reported about 48G free.

I had the same issue and setup. The new binary and the change in defaults seemed to fix the problem. I've sent a report as well.

The target volume is on an Airport Extreme. The partition is 120G with 39.8G free. The archive is 76.8G. The incremental changes are about 250M per day.

I am backing up ~50G incrementally to a 100G partition on a remote AirPort Disk. The previous backup was successful and the archive verified as well.
For the first backup with 1.1b7, I got the message "Disk Full Exception". I expect that this is not correct as only a few megabytes change per day.
